The article is very interesting, and can be found here. Several parallels between the Danio and human beings on a genetic level, as well as a tendancy to develope similar tumors, offers scientists an opportunity compare issues causing the tumors. A truly interesting article, take a look! There is another article about it, also BBC, here.

The BBC took it upon themselves to take a strong look at how the Tropical Fish trade is having a negative impact on the environment, and many fish species as a whole. Take a look here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3151384.stm . The article focuses on Marine fish, and highlights how impoverished coastal towns could really improve their economic state by catching and selling local fish. This article is less about out standard freshwater tropical river fish like Neon Tetra and Mollies, and more about Marine animals, but it is still interesting.
